      Deaths reach 957 and hundreds still missing.

      Tropical storm 'Sendong', known internationally as 'Washi', has been labelled the deadliest storm this year.

      The settlement document put together by British Airways Management and Unite the Union representing cabin crew has been accepted by the membership folllowing a ballot of the membership. The breakdown of the result is6509 Yes, 579 No, 9 spoiled on a 72% return. This gives a 92% vote in favour of the proposal.

      The appeal was heard on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th at the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand before three judges of the Court of Appeal, Lord Justice Ward, Lady Justice Smith and Lord Justice Jackson.

      Judgment has been reserved and may not be out until the end of the month (it was hard to make deductions from what the judges were saying).

      Lady Justice Smith had been on the panel at the appeal in May over BA’s injunction against Unite’s second strike ballot.
